"Bonjour. We are back after two very sunny and warm weeks. The apartment was very nice and very well equipped. Great view, marvellous location. We would very much like to come back." CN, Norway
Juan-les-Pins is intertwined with Antibes, a small city located right between Nice and Cannes on the French Riviera.
From the apartment there is a nice stroll to down-town Juan-les-Pins, the ever-pulsating jetset place famous for its international jazz festival Jazz à Juan arranged yearly since 1960.
In the summer months people from all over the world flock to this region so here you will find bars, restaurants and boutiques more or less everywhere—not least on the long, white sandy beaches considered to be among the very best on the whole Riviera.
Antibes is an historical city with a well preserved old town, a Picasso museum (the great painter lived here for six months in 1946) and other sights, for instance a splendid botanical garden. The Antibes of today is on the very spot where the ancient Greek in the 5th Century BC established a place of commerce which they called "Antipolis".
Cap d'Antibes is a peninsula separating Juan-les-Pins from Antibes. Cap d'Antibes is one of the most fashionable residential areas on the whole of the French Riviera. There is a scenic public path on the Cap that goes right down to the waterfront. Well worth a visit!
In the southern end of the Juan-les-Pins beach there is the village Golfe Juan with its impressive yacht harbour, beaches, cafes and restaurants. Here you can also hire all sorts of boats or even buy your own boat if you feel so inclined.
If you want further adventures there is always Cannes (image bottom and above), home of the famous film festival carrying its name. Cannes is just a few kilometres from Juan-les-Pins.

If you would like to immerse yourself in the rich culture of this region of France (Alpes-Maritimes, Provence) there are ample possibilities. Here are some suggestions:
Inland Provence with its countless vineyards and old, picturesque villages is a mere one hours drive away. Exciting, too, and closer to Juan-les-Pins, are the spectacular mountainous region immediately north of Nice. Here you can experience the wild and rocky Alpes-Maritimes. From Juan-les-Pins there are boat trips to Cannes and to the beautiful group of islands south-east of Cannes. You can also travel by boat to St. Tropez.
As for golf there are three 18-hole courses in the vicinity. These are Mandelieu la Napoule, Mougins and the Golf de Biot course outside of Nice (no home page). Other superb golf courses are one to two hours drive from the coast, for example Domaine de Terre Blanche and Le Château de Taulane.
If you reside here in the winter, why not try one of the ski centres: Isola 2000 and Auron in the southern Alps. They are approx. 100 kilometres away. These outstanding winter sport centres offer a variety of slopes at all levels of difficulty and altitudes between 1600 and 2100 meters (5000 and 6500 feet) above sea level. Also, most winter sport centres offer package deals starting from Nice and Cannes.
The children should be very happy to have a go at Marineland / Antibesland / Aquasplash—a huge aquarium, bathing and leisure centre just 5 minutes by car from the apartment!
